[music fade-in]
Intro –
Hi everyone, it’s me Sakib and today I’m back with my new episode “Unheard Stories”, where I’ll be interviewing TRU students and get to know more about their lifestyles, specially about how living on the other side of Thompson rivers feels. If you are not familiar about what is on the other side of Thompson rivers, I’ll take a moment and give you a brief idea about it. Northshore is the area that is on the other side of Thompson rivers and most people have stereotyped it as dangerous and an unsuitable place for TRU students to live. But is it really like that? Are the myths about Northshore true? How dangerous are the junkies and homeless people of Northshore and do they attack general people and create nuisance? So many questions and unheard stories, but today we have with us Onik and Nafisa, who are both students of TRU residing and working in Northshore.
Onik is a second-year student at TRU and has been living in Northshore for about two years. But Nafisa is a freshman, who just started her first year at TRU and she is also a resident of North shore. So, you can already understand how informative and real this podcast will get as we start asking them about it.
